NEW VISA REQUIREMENTS

 

Effective from 01 April 2025, nationals of the below listed countries will require to apply for visas on arrival to enter Namibia.

Passport holders of the above countries can apply for visa on arrival at the following port of entry:

Hosea Kutako International Airport, Walvis Bay International Airport, Oshikango Border Post, Trans-Kalahari Border Post, Oranjemund Border Post, Noordover Border Post, Katima Mulilo Border Post, Impalila Island Border Post, Ngoma Border Post and Mohembo Border Post.

The issuance of visas upon arrival does not replace the issuance of visas at the Embassies of Namibia, rather it complements it. Thus, the Embassy in Stockholm continues issuing visas for travellers who wish to apply for their visas in advance.

 

VISAS UPON ARRIVAL IN NAMIBIA

Requirements from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security:

Entry and visa requirements:

* Passport valid for a minimum period of 6 months
* Sufficient means of sustenance, including proof of hotel booking
* Return ticket
* Medical insurance covering the period of stay
* Completion of visa application form
* Invitation letter from person(s) inviting the visitor or tour operator
* Yellow fever certificate if applicant has been in yellow fever
endemic countries
* Payment of the prescribed fees
* Any other supporting document in case of workshops etc.

Fee to be paid upon arrival: 1200 Namibia dollars per visa

6. Marriage Certificate (Also note: Married women who apply with husband’s surname, must apply for change

5. Marriage Certificate

of 16)
7. Applicant’s signature (13 years and above)
8. Proof of payment: Fees: 300 SEK + Bank charges: SEK 50 (Foreign payments)
If the Emergency Travel Certificate - once issued - is forwarded to applicant by Registered mail: Mailing fee to be paid when applying: 200 SEK

NB: A COMMISSIONER OF OATHS MUST CERTIFY THE APPLICATION

TWO PASSPORT PHOTOS IN COLOUR:

White background, shoulders square to camera, both ears visible, forehead/shoulders/ears must not be covered, no visible shadow, no head gear, no eyeglasses, no uniform, no smile, no earrings for men, no eyebrow/chin/nose rings for all applicants, requirements as per International standards
