Foreign nationals (citizens from countries not exempted from visa requirements) wishing to visit Namibia (not for employment) should apply for visas before embarking upon their journey to Namibia for the purpose or reasons of visit which may include the following:
- Holiday/tourism/vacation
- Visiting friends or relatives
- Attending meetings
- Exploring business opportunities
- Medical treatment
Upon arrival at the Ports of entry in Namibia, the usual normal Visitor’s Entry Permit (VEP) will be endorsed in their passports with the specific remark.
The maximum of ninety (90) days per year for visit may be taken once off or in part.
Visitors with holiday / tourist / business visas are not allowed to engage in any employment while in the country.
Business persons coming to Namibia to work at their subsidiary companies, for example, give training to local staff, conduct audits of their companies, volunteer work of any kind etc.except Conservation tourism, are required to apply for employment permits/work visas in terms of Section 27 of the Immigration Control Act (Act No. 7 of 1993) regardless of whether they are citizens of countries which are exempted.
VISA REQUIREMENTS:
HOLIDAY / TOURIST VISA
* Completed Visa application form - Fill in the application form online, print out and sign
* Original passport with at least three (3) blank pages - Passport must be valid at least six (6) months after departure from Namibia N.B. Passport must be machine-readable.
* Two (2) passport photos in color - Write your name on the back of the photos
* Flight ticket
* Travel insurance
* Proof of accomodation
* Motivation letter from the travel agency or the applicant when travelling on own.
* Invitation letter signed by Inviter and proof of Namibian legal status of Inviter (if invited)
* Proof of means of sustenance while in Namibia (6 months bank statement)
* Proof of payment
BUSINESS VISA (persons attending business workshops/meetings/conferences or exploring business opportunities)
* Completed Visa application form - Fill in the application form online, print out and sign
* Original passport with at least three (3) blank pages - Passport must be valid at least six (6) months after departure from Namibia N.B. Passport must be machine-readable.
* Two (2) passport photos in color - Write your name on the back of the photos
* Flight ticket
* Travel insurance
* Invitation letter from host company or organisation
* Proof of means of sustenance while in Namibia
* Proof of payment
SINGLE AND MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA
Multiple entry visas will be granted on the basis of reasonable grounds.
PAYMENT:
Visa fee: SEK 500
Bank charges: SEK 50 (Foreign payments)
Registered mailing fee: SEK 200 (in case the document is sent to applicant by Registered mail)
If the passport is returned to applicant in Sweden by Registered mail, total fee to be paid: SEK 700
If the passport is returned to applicant abroad by Registered mail, total fee to be paid: SEK 750
If the passport is picked up from the Embassy by a courier, total fee to be paid: SEK 500 for applicant in Sweden and SEK 550 for applicant abroad.
Bank charges are to be paid for foreign payments ( Payments made from Bank accounts abroad).

Write your name on payment order and indicate that payment is for visa.
If several people are travelling together, payment can be made on one payment order.
Please note that the application fee for visa is not refundable.
Visa will be issued once payment has been made and the money is on the Embassy Bank account. It usually takes 3 working days.
Incomplete applications will delay the processing of visas.
Passports sent by registered mail MUST be sent to the Embassy postal (Box) address. Please do not address the letter to any staff member!
