TOURIST AND BUSINESS VISA
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:
* Completed Visa application form - Fill in the application form online, print out and sign * Valid passport - Passport must be valid at least six (6) months after departure from Namibia * Two (2) passport photos in color - Write your name on the back of the photos * Copy of flight ticket / itinerary * Proof of payment * Letter of invitation or addresses of business contacts in Namibia are needed for a business visa.
Payment: It costs SEK 400 excluding bank charges when the passport is picked up from the Embassy by a courier. It costs SEK 500 per passport excluding bank charges when the passport is returned by registered mail. Please note that ALL bank charges are to be paid by the applicant! Payment should be made to the Embassy´s bankgiro No: 5437-0002 (Domestic payments only) SEB Swift code: ESSESESS SEB IBAN No: SE0950 0000 0005 2771 0156 41 SEB Account No: 5277 10 156 41 If several people are travelling together, payment can be done on one payment order. Cash payment i.e. the exact change is also acceptable when the passport is delivered to the Embassy by hand.
It takes 7 working days for processing! Incomplete applications will delay the processing of visas.
Visitors with tourist visa are not allowed to engage in any employment while in the country. If they wish to do so, they should apply for work visa or work permit in their country of residence prior to entering Namibia. The same applies to study visa and study permit.
DEFINITION OF BUSINESS VISA The business visa in Namibia is defined as the visa issued to people looking for prospects to set up formal business in Namibia, exploration for business opportunities, business people attending meetings at subsidiaries of their parent companies, official government visits, attending conferences, corporate events (not work) and meetings for which no remuneration is received, attending short training courses (not more than 90 days), sports events, expositions and trade fairs. NB: All persons falling in the above category are required to pay for the business visa except those from countries that have a Visa Abolition Agreement with Namibia. EXCLUSIONS:
NB: All persons falling under the above exclusions should apply for work and other relevant visas and permits irrespective of whether their countries have a Visa Abolition Agreement with Namibia. The implementation of this measure is from 1st September 2006.
Please note that the application fee for visa is not refundable. Passports sent by registered mail MUST be sent to the Embassy box address. Please do not address the letter to any staff member!
ALIEN PASSPORT Visas for alien passport holders are not issued at the Embassy but by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration in Windhoek.

MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA The Embassy only issues single entry visas. If you want to get a multiple entry visa, kindly apply for it in advance directly from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration in Windhoek or through the Embassy.
STUDY AND WORK VISA Study and Work visas are not issued at the Embassy but by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration in Windhoek. Kindly apply through a contact person in Namibia, through the Embassy or directly from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration in Windhoek. Study and Work visas can be applied for periods up to 6 months. Study visa: Letter from the University, Institution or Organization where you are going to study is needed for a Study visa In case you are going to do your Master's degree in Namibia, letter from the university / institution in your home country is needed Work visa: Letter from the Organization or Company where you are going to work is needed for a Work visa
